Intern Friday Week 1 (April 30-May 4)
-editorial note: we are catching up on posts, so some of this news is slightly historical
Although I’ve only been here for two days, I’ve learned so much and I feel like my brain is completely inundated with information, but I think for the most part, I’ve got it:
Melody Reese is responsible for Canadian Christian print publications and Canadian Christian radio stations and absolutely rocks those complicated interview bookings.
Julie Warkentin is responsible for ALL blogger relations and is also an extremely detail oriented shipping queen.
Tim Underwood is a social media guru, and a genius….seriously.
And Ellen Graf-Martin is the mastermind behind the powerhouse….don’t let the fact that the office is based out of small-town Elmira, ON fool you!
This two-month period is going to be full of new experiences. Being an Oakville native, I’ve never been to Elmira before, but I was quickly filled in on; where the good places are to eat, what roads to take should their ever be a road closure and about the various tourist attractions.
I’ve done a lot of listening over the past few days, and was excited by the various projects Ellen told me I would be pulled in on over the next few months. With summer being one of their busiest seasons I’ll have the opportunity to try my hand at a variety of assignments and consequently, learn a lot.
