Celebrating First Year

Graf-Martin Communications Inc., a new publicity and marketing solution provider, is recognizing a successful first year of business in the midst of difficult economic times.

Following the sudden bankruptcy of her former employer on September 15th, 2008, Founder and Managing Director Ellen Graf-Martin recalls the question that set her out on an entrepreneurial adventure. “A client that I highly respected and had worked with for years asked ‘would you consider starting your own agency?’. With the encouragement of former co-workers, former clients and friends, I took the leap. The opportunities have turned out to be far more exciting than I could have anticipated.”

With respected expertise and experience in the marketing, non-profit and publishing industries, Graf-Martin and associate, Tim Underwood (Laurier MBA) are positioning their services as strategic, cost-effective professional solutions in a challenging economy. Says Graf-Martin “We have found a niche locally as an economical marketing outsource for companies without their own internal marketing departments. One of our clients expressed this well by sharing how relieved he was to finally have someone to work with on marketing strategy and coordination. He was freed up to concentrate on his practice and used our experience, connections and resources to move forward on ideas that would grow his business for the long-term.”
