What is Ellen's Picks?

Ellen's Picks was born of necessity in 2005. Canadian leaders were having trouble knowing what resources were available and worth their time and limited budgets. As a professional working in the book industry (who also has years of ministry experience) Ellen Graf-Martin had thousands of books at her fingertips - and she loved to read and make recommendations when she found something great! Ellen's Picks became a valuable tool for Canadian Christian leaders looking for the best in ministry resources. Ellen personally selects books and resources that she believes to have excellent value to leaders in youth, young adult, women, leadership and children's ministry. Ellen loves equipping and empowering people to live out their calling with excellence!

Who is Ellen?

Though born and raised on Vancouver Island, BC, Ellen Graf-Martin now lives with her husband Dan in southwestern Ontario, the result of an odd series of God-ordained events. With years of publishing, marketing and ministry experience under her belt, in 2008 Ellen founded Graf-Martin Communications Inc., a full-service publicity and marketing agency in which she gets to work with one of her life-long loves – books. An avid coffee lover and creative craft designer, Ellen is also passionate about equipping the church, missions and discipleship.
