A Word from Dan Walsh

Dear Friends,

I’d like to personally thank you for considering taking part in our upcoming Christmas blog tour. This is a busy time of year with many things clamoring for our attention, but I think your readers will really enjoy this experience and I hope you will even more.

Christmas is my favorite time of year, always has been. The idea for my novel, The Unfinished Gift, actually came at Christmastime a few years ago. I had been deeply moved by one of the classic Christmas stories we read each year and wanted to write a book that at least had the potential to affect people the way these stories affected me. The tale of little Patrick Collins and his family emerged from there.

The Unfinished Gift is set in 1943, a week before Christmas. Patrick’s mother has recently died in a car accident and he is being sent across town to stay with a grandfather he’s never met while the Army tries to locate his father, a bomber pilot in England. Patrick’s father and grandfather haven’t spoken since before Patrick was born. The book explores the surprising things God uses to affect powerful changes in our hearts; like a little boy’s prayers, a shoebox full of love letters, and an old wooden soldier collecting dust in a grandfather’s attic.

I’d be honored if you’d join us for this exciting Christmas blog tour.

A Word from Melody Carlson

Dear Friends,

I really appreciate your interest in my Christmas novella this year and I am pleased to be included in your blog tour. It’s hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. And I’m aware that Christmastime doesn’t necessarily mean peace and goodwill to everyone. In fact, this is why my Christmas novellas usually include some heartache and problems. It’s not that I want to depress my readers, but I just happen to believe that life comes with good times and bad. And holidays often magnify both.

In The Christmas Dog, Betty Kowalski is not looking forward to Christmas at all. Disgruntled over her neighbor’s home “improvements” which involve an old pink toilet parked in his yard, Betty is sadly lacking in the good cheer department. And when a scruffy mutt keeps coming to her door, Betty gets fed up. Add to this a runaway granddaughter, and Betty feels like she’s up to her ears in troubles. But sometimes it’s the difficulties that bring the biggest rewards. I hope you’ll enjoy this story and be reminded of what matters most this Christmas. Happy Holidays!
